Wall oven or range oven
Which one it is changes where the tag sits and what the oven runs on. A wall oven is built into cabinetry, single or double; a range oven sits under a cooktop. Viking’s current wall ovens are electric: VSOE and VDOE, the French-door VSOF and VDOF, and the 3 Series RVSOE and RVDOE. Its older gas wall ovens carry VGSO on the tag and are discontinued.
A range oven bakes with gas on a VGR or RVGR, and with electric elements in a dual-fuel VDR, RVDR or Tuscany. On a wall oven the tag is under the control panel with the door open; on a Tuscany range it is behind the storage drawer. The series pages beside this show the rest.

Upper oven preheated then quit halfway, over and over. The bake element had a hairline break that only opened up once it was hot. Replaced, and it has held temperature since.
Set to 350 and a probe thermometer read barely 300. The sensor was drifting badly. Diagnosis took ten minutes; the part took a week to arrive, which is my only complaint.
Wall oven ran nearly fifty degrees cool. Rather than sell me a new control board he tested the sensor first, which is exactly what it turned out to be. Honest work, fair price.
